Bathroom Remodeling in Sebastian, FL
Discount Tub and Shower works with Sebastian homeowners who are tired of staring at a worn-out tub or a shower that never looks clean no matter how hard they scrub. Barbara Cullinane built the business around careful, honest work, and every project here follows her standards from the first phone call to the final walkthrough. We specialize in tubs and showers, built around Sentrel Bath Systems.
What makes homes in Sebastian different
Sebastian sits right on the water, and that changes everything about a bathroom. You are close to the Indian River Lagoon, close to the inlet, close to Pelican Island. The air stays humid most of the year. That humidity is hard on a bathroom — especially one finished in tile and grout.
Here is the problem. Grout is porous. It holds moisture. In a coastal climate like this one, that moisture turns into mildew and staining faster than it would further inland. You wipe it down, it comes back. That is not a cleaning problem. That is a material problem.
Many homes across Sebastian Highlands, Roseland, Wabasso and the newer stretches near Sebastian Lakes and Spirit of Sebastian were built across very different decades, which means bathrooms here range from dated original tile to builder-grade surrounds that were never meant to last. Older Sebastian Highlands homes especially tend to have the kind of aging tub-and-tile setups that trap water behind the walls.
That is why every installation is built around Sentrel Bath Systems. Non-porous acrylic wall panels. No grout lines. No seams for water to sneak behind. In a town this close to the lagoon, that matters more than it would almost anywhere else.
