Bathroom Remodeling for Stuart Homeowners
Discount Tub and Shower works right here in Stuart, specializing in tubs and showers. Barbara Cullinane built the business around careful work, from the first measurement to the final walkthrough. If you live in Historic Downtown Stuart, East Stuart, Potsdam, or out toward Woodlawn Park, you are close enough that getting to you is easy — and that matters when you want straight answers and a job done right.
What makes bathrooms in Stuart different
Stuart sits on the water, and that shapes what happens inside your walls. The humidity here is relentless. Add the salt air coming off the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon, and tile grout becomes a problem long before the tile itself wears out. Grout holds moisture. Moisture feeds mildew. And once mold takes hold behind a shower wall, no amount of scrubbing fixes it for good.
The homes themselves vary a lot across town. Around Historic Downtown Stuart, the Frazier Addition, and Porters Addition, you find older houses — some built decades ago, with bathrooms that were small to begin with and have not been touched since. Those older layouts often hide dated plumbing and tight footprints that make a full tile job slow and expensive. Newer construction out toward the 34997 areas tends to have more room to work with, but the same humidity still punishes porous surfaces over time.
This is why every installation is built around Sentrel Bath Systems. The acrylic wall panels are non-porous and seamless. No grout lines. No moisture traps. For a coastal town like Stuart, that means far less maintenance and far fewer mildew headaches down the road — which is exactly what you want in a bathroom that has to stand up to Florida year-round.
A note on permits and HOAs: many Stuart neighborhoods have their own rules, and Martin County has requirements of its own. We will walk you through what your project actually needs before anything begins, so the permit side does not catch you off guard midway through.
